The Circular Textile Waste Service is a recepient of a Circulate Grant. "Over eight years, Waste Less, Recycle More will provide $802 million to stimulate new investment and transform waste and recycling in NSW.
It includes grant programs for local government, business, industry and the community, delivered by the NSW Environment Protection Authority and the NSW Environmental Trust. "
The Circular Centre is grateful for the support of Mosman City Council who are our first Council client for the Circular Textile Waste Service. Denim collected has come from this Service.
"Mosman residents can donate clothing for recycling through a new home pick-up service supported by Mosman Council and the EPA Better Waste Recycle Fund.
In the first recycling program of its kind for a local council, unwearable materials can be recycled. Other clothing in good condition can also be donated through the service.
Unwearable clothing that might normally be thrown out will be dismantled and repurposed while items in good condition will be recycled through Vinnies.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the country on which we live on today, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and that Australia was founded on the genocide and dispossession of First Nations people.
